Daleks actually have quite a bit in common with robots. Both are devoid of emotions, both have a tough metal skin, both prefer cold hard logic to abstract concepts such as creativity… and they have more than a passing similarity to robots such as the Terminator.
But there is one class of robot that Daleks will not tolerate – domesticated robots. From Star Wars to Short Circuit, The Jetsons to Futurama, no human-loving robot is exempt. If they help humans, they must be exterminated!
